Everything you need to know to get the most out of Ridera.

Getting started

How to sign up

  1. 1.Go to ridera.io and click Sign up.
  2. 2.Enter your email and create a password.
  3. 3.Confirm your email by clicking the link you receive.
  4. 4.Create your organisation (company or freelance engineer name).
  5. 5.You're ready to start uploading riders!

How to upload your first rider

  1. 1.In the side menu, go to Events and create a new event.
  2. 2.Inside the event, click Add rider.
  3. 3.Upload the rider PDF (max. 20MB).
  4. 4.The AI extracts the channels automatically in a few seconds.
  5. 5.Review and verify the extraction — correct it if needed.

How to set up your inventory

  1. 1.Go to Inventory in the side menu.
  2. 2.Import your inventory from a CSV/Excel with the columns: Brand, Model, Category, Quantity.
  3. 3.Or add gear manually, one by one.
  4. 4.Set up equivalences: which pieces of gear can replace each other.
  5. 5.Once set up, matching works automatically.

Event management

Create an event

  1. 1.An event groups all the riders of one production (festival, tour, etc.).
  2. 2.Click New event and enter name, date and venue.
  3. 3.You can add several riders per event (one rider per act).
  4. 4.Event progress is calculated automatically from the riders' status.

Upload riders to the event

  1. 1.From the event page, use Add rider.
  2. 2.Options: upload a PDF, use a template or create it manually.
  3. 3.Each rider has its own verification and matching flow.

Use the status kanban

  1. 1.The kanban shows every rider organised by status.
  2. 2.Statuses: Pending → Processing → Verified → Matching → Sent → Accepted.
  3. 3.Drag riders between columns to change their status.
  4. 4.Filter by section (sound, lighting, backline, etc.).

Rider processing

What the AI does when processing

  1. 1.Ridera uses AI to read the PDF and extract the input list.
  2. 2.It identifies: channel number, instrument, suggested microphone, technical notes.
  3. 3.It also detects: artist name, show type, preferred consoles.
  4. 4.It assigns phantom power based on the microphone type detected.
  5. 5.The AI reports its confidence level — if it's low, review more carefully.

How to verify the extraction

  1. 1.On the verification screen, compare the PDF (left) with the extracted channels (right).
  2. 2.Correct any errors: instrument name, microphone, phantom power.
  3. 3.Mark channels as verified (green checkbox).
  4. 4.Add internal technical notes that are not in the original rider.

How to add notes to channels

  1. 1.Click any channel to expand it.
  2. 2.In the Notes field, write extra information (stage position, artist preference, etc.).
  3. 3.Notes appear in the counter-rider and in the loading sheet.

Matching & inventory

How matching works

  1. 1.Matching compares each rider channel against your inventory.
  2. 2.If the exact gear is found → direct assignment.
  3. 3.If you don't have the exact one → it looks for configured equivalences.
  4. 4.If there's no equivalence either → it's marked as Missing (you need to rent it).
  5. 5.The result: a clear view of what you have, what you can substitute and what's missing.

Matching levels

  1. 1.Exact (green): you have exactly what the rider asks for.
  2. 2.Equivalent (yellow): you have acceptable gear as a substitute.
  3. 3.Artist's own (blue): the artist brings it — you don't need to provide it.
  4. 4.Missing (red): not in your inventory — to be rented.

How to change assignments manually

  1. 1.On the Matching tab, click any channel.
  2. 2.Manually pick which piece of your inventory to use.
  3. 3.This overrides the automatic suggestion.
  4. 4.Useful when you know a specific unit sounds better for that act.

Documents

Counter-rider

  1. 1.The counter-rider is the official answer to the artist's rider.
  2. 2.It documents exactly what gear you provide for each channel.
  3. 3.It is generated as PDF and Excel.
  4. 4.You can send it straight from Ridera to the artist's engineer.
  5. 5.Every version sent is recorded.

Loading sheet

  1. 1.The loading sheet organises the gear by stage position.
  2. 2.Ideal for truck arrival and set-up.
  3. 3.Includes: PA, stage, monitors, FOH, racks.
  4. 4.PDF and Excel formats.

Rental list

  1. 1.A list of all the gear you don't have in inventory and need to rent.
  2. 2.Includes quantities and categories.
  3. 3.Export to Excel with prices (if you have set them up).
  4. 4.Ready to send to the supplier.

M32/X32 console scene

  1. 1.Ridera can generate a scene file for your Behringer X32 or Midas M32 console.
  2. 2.The scene includes: channel names (12 chars), colours per instrument, suggested HPF, phantom power.
  3. 3.It also supports Yamaha TF Series (XML format).
  4. 4.IMPORTANT: It is a starting point. Always check it at soundcheck.
  5. 5.Download the .scn from the rider's Documents tab.

Show pack (offline)

  1. 1.The show pack is a ZIP file with every document for the rider.
  2. 2.Designed to be used without internet, from a tablet on stage.
  3. 3.Includes: original rider, counter-rider, loading sheet, channel notes.

Show day

Presentation mode (tablet)

  1. 1.Presentation mode is optimised for touch screens on stage.
  2. 2.It shows channels large and easy to read with the rack built.
  3. 3.Open it from the Presentation mode button on the rider page.
  4. 4.No mouse needed — everything works by touch.
  5. 5.Ideal for the monitor engineer or the FOH engineer.

Offline pack

  1. 1.If there's no internet at the venue, download the pack before leaving.
  2. 2.It contains every document for the rider in a ZIP.
  3. 3.You can open it from any device with no connection.
